Telehealth & Text Messaging

Telehealth and text messaging can make access easier, but they do not replace emergency services, a clinically necessary examination, or the secure patient record.

Florida and New Mexico telehealth

• The patient must be physically located in Florida or New Mexico at the time of the telehealth visit. Service remains subject to physician availability, clinical appropriateness, and applicable state requirements.
• The clinician applies the same prevailing professional standard of practice applicable to in-person care.
• Telehealth services are documented in the medical record and maintained confidentially as required by applicable law.
• Identity, location, contact information, consent, and clinical suitability may be confirmed before or at the start of the visit.
• A clinician may require an in-person examination, testing, emergency evaluation, or another level of care.

Telehealth is not appropriate for emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for urgent life-threatening symptoms.

Website information is not the clinical telehealth consent. Before care, the secure registration process will explain the nature and limitations of telehealth, technology and privacy risks, alternatives, fees, and how to obtain follow-up or emergency help.

Same-day appointment requests by text

When you provide a mobile number and agree to appointment communication, AspireMed may call or text about scheduling, reminders, instructions, billing follow-up, or requested care coordination. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages or HELP for assistance. Opting out of texts does not prevent you from receiving care; telephone or portal communication can be used instead.

Privacy and marketing

Standard text messaging may not be fully secure. Do not text emergency concerns, detailed symptoms, diagnoses, photographs, identification documents, payment-card details, or other sensitive information unless directed to an approved secure system. Marketing texts, if ever used, require the consent and disclosures required by applicable law and will be separate from consent for appointment communications.
